Pregnancy Pain

pregnant woman
Just this morning you looked down and noticed that your belly is protruding beyond your feet. Your posture continues to change with the added strain of the beautiful child growing inside you. But, its coming at a cost, because there’s swelling, back pain and tension that you’ve never experienced before. And, now you begin to question yourself, “Do I have to feel this uncomfortable for 9 months?”

INTEGRATIVE TREATMENT FOR PREGNANCY PAIN
During pregnancy, your body will go through several physical and hormonal changes in preparation for creating the environment for the developing baby. The following changes could result in misalignments of the spine:
Protruding abdomen
Increase back curve and strain
Pelvic changes
Neck and shoulder postural adaptations
When the pelvis misaligns it may reduce the amount of room available for the baby to develop. This restriction is called intrauterine constraint. Additionally, a misaligned pelvis may make it difficult for the baby to get into the best possible positions during the delivery process and may affect the mother’s ability to have a natural, non-invasive birth.

BREECH BABIES
It can be considered normal to the baby to present breech until the third trimester, but breech positions beyond the 37 weeks increase concerns for practitioners. Breech and posterior positions can interfere with the natural ease of labor and lead to interventions such as C-sections.
