Medical Massage Therapist Physical Therapist Patient Service Coordinator

Medical Massage Therapist
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Perform manual therapy on patients (muscles, soft tissues, joints) as directed by the providers 2. Enter SOAP notes in electronic health record system (EHR) after seeing each patient 3. Maintain cleanliness of massage room 4. Change massage table sheets after each patient 5. Wash/dry/fold all sheets used each day (washer/dryer in facility)
REQUIRED SKILLS: 1. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and various massage modalities. 2. Ability to confer with patients about their problem areas, stress, and/or pain 3. Consult with providers regarding patient condition and progress when necessary 4. Ability to customize each massage to meet patients needs. 5. Previous training or experience in medical massage therapy.
Physical Therapist
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists. Reviews patients’ functional needs and adjusts care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes. 2. Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporates participation by significant others whenever it seems appropriate. 3. Conducts therapy practice within defined standards of care. 4. Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals. 5. Communicates effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes. 6. Practices office policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. 7. Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans. Regularly updates documentation and maintains prescriptions and signatures. 8. Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops. Keeps up to date on professional literature.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of the population age groups that will be receiving services.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program. At least one year of experience Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
Patient Service Coordinator
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Greets, responds quickly and effectively to needs of patients and guests 2. Answers phone calls and responds to emails 3. Schedules appointments 4. Responsible for daily completion of insurance verification 5. Perform posting charges 6. Perform completion of claims to payers 7. Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers 8. Process claims in Ehr platform 9. Resolve denial instances 10. Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided 11. Conduct audits 12. Participates in staff meetings and trainings. 13. Participates in keeping common areas the office clean. 14. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s degree or higher Minimum of 1 years’ experience in medical billing or any coding industry Proficient in electronic medical records Intermediate proficiency skills in the use of Microsoft Windows, Outlook and Word
